Mix refined flour (maida), HERSHEY'S COCOA Natural Unsweetened and milk in a bowl to create a batter.
Simultaneously, heat oil in a pan on a low flame and dip the pineapple slices in the prepared batter. Coat them evenly.
Dip the coated slices in oil to fry them. Make sure to fry both the sides on a medium flame, until it becomes golden brown in color and crispy in texture.
For the sugar syrup:
Add sugar, cinnamon stick, saffron strands and water in a frying pan and cook for 5- 6 minutes until the sugar dissolves completely and the texture achieves syrupy consistency.
Take off the hot malpuas from the frying pan and immerse them in the sugar syrup. Allow the malpuas to soak completely for at least 2 minutes.
Drain the malpuas from the syrup and serve hot.
