A chocolatey version of the classic carrot gujiya awaits you at HERSHEY'S. Enjoy a blend of health and deliciousness as you indulge in this treat with your loved ones.
For the gajar halwa:
Heat ghee in a kadai. Add grated carrots and cook till they are wilt and soft.
Add milk and cook on a low flame till it evaporates. Stir well.
Add khoya, sugar, HERSHEY'S Chocolate Flavored SYRUP, dry fruits and cardamom powder. Mix the ingredients well and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes.
Take the mixture off the flame and chill it in the refrigerator for later.
For the dough:
Mix refined flour (maida), ghee and salt in a bowl until the texture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add water as required and knead the dough properly.
Cover the dough with a damp muslin cloth and set aside for 15 minutes.
For the gujiyas:
Take a small portion of the dough and roll it out. Add a teaspoon of the gajar halwa in the centre and fold the dough from the sides to make it in the shape of a gujiya.
Deep fry the gujiyas in hot oil until they turn golden brown.
